A new girl group has debuted in Japan and by god they are colorful! The trio is known as color-code and they released the short version of their debut PV, I LIKE DAT, a few days back. It’s infectious, and a hot auto-tune mess, and I love it. But the real reason these girls came to my attention is their style, and the fact that designer Nicola Formichetti is their producer and creative director. For those that don’t know, Formichetti is an unworldly fashion force. His titles have included: artistic director for fashion brands Diesel, Mugler, and Uniqlo, fashion director of Vogue Hommes Japan, and creative director for various Lady Gaga projects. The celebrated designer held a competition called Pop Icon Project Tokyo to find “a Japanese version of Lady Gaga.”
