Thank you, InStyle! You always make me happy. The magazine recently revealed a behind-the-scenes look at Chanel‘s Resort 2016 runway show, which took place on May 4 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. The A-list guests included BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon and Taeyang, f(x)‘s Krystal, Birth of a Beauty star Han Ye Seul and Pinocchio leading man Lee Jong Suk, to name a few.
The new collection looked like an assortment of bright candy canes on display inside Honeydukes at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And you guys can totally take my word on that cause been there and cried over diabetes while eating that. Anyway, Vogue had a more sophisticated interpretation of the collection. Its inspiration came from Korean traditional apparel. The mother-of-pearl embroidery that traced a black wrap dress was inspired by the decoration on Korean wedding chests. The high empire line and flaring sleeves on full-silhouetted dresses were Lagerfeld’s sublimation of traditional garb. Vogue can sell me anything, it’s scary.
My favorite two outfits were Look #1, The Candy Queen, and Look #22, also known as Patel Chic Minni Mouse. To check out the rest of the collection click here.
My favorite accessories were the double layer pearl sunglasses and confetti purse:
